Orca Media Agency
This project explores the creation of a bold, timeless brand identity for a media agency, built to cut through the noise and stand out in its market.
Section 1 - Brand Discovery
Starting without a defined mission, audience, or voice, we led a brand discovery process that established a foundation built on four key attributes: exclusive, formal, spontaneous, and welcoming.
Section 2 - Mood Board Exploration
After exploring four visual directions through mood boards, “Modern Day Creative” emerged as the strongest expression of the brand. It positions the agency as confident, knowledgeable, and trusted, while embracing bold, forward-thinking solutions. At its core, the brand prioritizes clarity and transparency, fostering direct and honest relationships with its clients.
Section 3 - Logo Development
The initial exploration investigated marks grounded in media and communication theory, exploring both pictorial and abstract directions to determine the most effective expression. From this process, the orca emerged as the brand’s defining symbol, embodying strategy, unity, and collective strength. Moving in pods, it reflects the agency’s philosophy of working in sync with clients to achieve shared success.

Building on the initial exploration, the direction shifted toward a more direct and recognizable expression. The orca was brought forward as a front-facing element, reinforcing a sense of clarity and transparency within the identity. Rather than leaning into abstraction, the mark embraces a “what you see is what you get” approach, aligning with the agency’s commitment to honesty, confidence, and straightforward communication.
Final Logo
The final logo emerged as a bold, structured, and unified mark, tying back to the mood board direction we recommended. It balances timelessness with a modern approach, presenting the orca not as a literal mascot but as a distinctive, versatile symbol. The result is a confident visual identity built to endure, clearly representing the agency while standing out in the market for years to come.
