Orca Media Agency
Business and Brand Development for a media and marketing agency.
Section 1 - Brand Discovery
Initially, our client didn't have a mission statement, target audience, or any terminology that defined them as a company.
Our first part of the branding process began with our Brand Discovery Worksheet which provided us tangible words that would allow us to build the brand off of.
Brand Discovery Part 2
After gathering our foundational information from our Brand Discovery Worksheet we discovered four sectors that our client believed would best represent the company. They were Exclusive, Formal, Spontaneous, and Welcoming.
Section 2 - Style Scape Exploration
After exploring our four sectors through style scapes, we finalized with the "Modern Day Creative" style scape as it represented how the young company wanted to appear to their target audience.
It would carry itself seriously as a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and confident agency. They'd focus on bringing bold, creative, and daring solutions to their clients and focus on making the entire process transparent and direct with their clients.
Section 3 - Logo Development
Our first approach was to create a logo that spoke media, communications theory, and contained features of the orca whale.
These concepts allowed us to analyze and determine if pursuing a pictorial or abstract direction would best suit the company.
Logo Development Part 1
Logo Development Part 2
After our initial logo concept presentation, we decided that it would be in the best interest to keep a direct characteristic of an orca whale to provide a transparent experience.
Logo Development Part 3
These concepts allowed us to analyze and determine if pursuing a pictorial or abstract direction would best represent the companies business philosophy.
Final Logo
Merging geometric with slight organic leading lines, this direction is bold without needing to say much. This direction presents the agency with a confident, professional, and appropriately spontaneous appeal.
